| Salt Lake City, UT - With summer heat in Salt Lake City still sizzling in the 90s, it's sometimes hard to believe that snow is only 60 days away. Utah sometimes receives its first dusting of mountain snow as early as September but most often by October. To celebrate the approach of Utah’s favorite precipitation, Ski Utah has partnered with Ben & Jerry’s at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City to give away free Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla ice cream this Wednesday, from 2 to 5 p.m. The spot will be marked with a nine-foot tall inflatable yeti.

| Montreal, Canada - The DNA IF3 International Freeski Film Festival will present its second edition September 11-15 in Montreal. The DNA IF3 will feature the world premieres of twelve of the top professional, and five amateur freeski films, drawing athletes and adrenaline addicts from all over the world.

| Denver, CO - To help kick off the annual SKI REX tent sale over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, all the Front Range Colorado Ski & Golf stores as well as Boulder Ski Deals are coordinating with SnowSports Industries of America (SIA) to offer skiers and riders a free program for recycling old skis, snowboards, bindings, boots, and poles to keep unwanted equipment out of local landfills. The four Colorado Ski & Golf stores and Boulder Ski Deals are the first ski shops in the United States to provide consumers with this unique recycling opportunity. The joint effort is part of SIA’s ongoing program called "Keep Winter Cool: Snow Sports Recycling Solution".
