| Queenstown, New Zealand - Former Olympian Kate Rattray, 45, of Christchurch successfully defended her New Zealand Skiing Masters title at Coronet Peak this week by winning the combined trophy for downhill, giant slalom and slalom. The men's under-55 combined title was won by John Wardrop, 50, of Auckland and the over-55 combined trophy was awarded to Christchurch's Mike Unger, 55.

| Toronto, Canada - Skyline International Development Inc., a privately held corporation with extensive commercial, residential, hotel, recreational and media holdings in Ontario and Quebec, in July completed its acquisition of Horseshoe Valley Resort, one of Ontario's largest year-round recreation properties. The Ontario ski resort located an hour north of Toronto was purchased by Skyline for CAN $37 million.
