U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships Set For Anchorage 08/07, 21:49
Anchorage, AK - Anchorage, one of the leading cross country ski markets in America, will host the ConocoPhillips U.S. Cross Country Championships at Kincaid Park for the next two years, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association announced on Monday. The annual national championship ski races held the first week of January will challenge America's best cross country skiers as they compete for the title of best in the U.S.

Colorado Avalanche Center Fundraiser Slated for August 08/07, 21:44
Boulder, CO - The seventh annual Avalanche Jam, hosted by Backcountry Access (BCA), will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, September 5 outside Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder. The Avalanche Jam is a fundraiser for the Boulder-based Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC). The CAIC provides avalanche forecasts and avalanche education for skiers, snowboarders and all winter backcountry users in Colorado.
