USSA Names Head Physiologist 10/04, 5:03
PARK CITY, Utah (April 10) - The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association has named Dr. Randy Hill head physiologist as according to Director of Sport Science Troy Flanagan. In addition to working with a team of physiologists to prepare America's athletes for the 2010 Olympics, Hill will lead the organization in identifying athletic talent.

Medalist Mayer Heads Alumni Honorees 29/03, 5:47
PARK CITY, Utah (March 29) - Athletes from the past were honored by the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding with its second annual alumni recognition ceremony March 29 in the Team's home of Park City. Among the honorees was 2002 Olympic moguls silver medalist Travis Mayer.

Bodensteiner Named to Performance Athletic Post 13/03, 12:18
PARK CITY, Utah (March 13) - U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) President and CEO Bill Marolt has named Olympian Luke Bodensteiner as associate athletic director of high performance. Bodensteiner will be responsible for providing support services to the directors of each of the USSA's six sport programs.

PARK CITY, Utah (March 4) - It was almost a perfect storm - a blizzard of results. Saturday, the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding enjoyed one of its best competitive days ever. Americans won four World Cups Saturday, with three additional podium finishes. Among the winners were U.S. Snowboarding's Lindsey Jacobellis (Stratton Mountain, VT) and Nick Baumgartner (Iron River, MI) who swept the Visa U.S. Snowboarding Cup SBX in Lake Placid, and the U.S. Ski Team's Emily Cook (Belmont, MA), who won her first World Cup aerials event in Moscow.

Sport Loses Friend With Robbins' Passing 24/02, 2:49
WEATHERSFIELD, Vt. (Feb. 23) - Internationally recognized ski and travel journalist Paul Robbins, a wordsmith and historian for the U.S. Ski Team for 30 years, died Saturday at his home in Vermont. Robbins, whose wit, humor and vast knowledge was legendary, was 68. He died of an apparent heart attack while working on weekend news stories in his home.

Team Partners with Brand Connections 20/02, 7:57
NEW YORK (Feb. 20) - With the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver two years away, the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding announced a partnership with New York-based Brand Connections. The partnership will utilize the media and marketing company's Active Outdoor Network to promote its brands: U.S. Ski Team-All Out and U.S. Snowboarding-Ride with US. The partnership is designed to raise the Team's profile among active Americans at winter resorts throughout the country.

LAS VEGAS (Jan. 29) - Snowboarding trail-blazers Jake and Donna Burton Carpenter, Olympic aerials champion Eric Bergoust and alpine World Championships medalist Doug Lewis were inducted Thursday into the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. Ceremonies took place during the SnowSports Industries of America trade show at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Convention Center.

Delta Air Lines Partners with USSA 18/01, 11:25
PARK CITY, Utah (Jan. 18) - Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) today announced a four-year agreement making it the official airline of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). As the parent organization of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding, the USSA is the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding with more than 30,000 member athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.

Dale of Norway Renews Through 2012 11/01, 6:26
SHELBURNE, Vt. (Jan. 11) - Dale of Norway, the well known designer and manufacturer of ski sweaters, technical apparel and lifestyle knitwear, announced that it will renew its agreement as the exclusive sweater supplier to the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding through 2012.

PARK CITY, Utah (Dec. 18) - Athletes at any level, in any sport can train like Olympic-class performers with the DVD, a new DVD set featuring top Olympic athletes produced by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA).
